The Chef Jacket

Our white cotton women's chef jacket includes stretch for comfort and a classic Mandarin neckline.

Cut for women, designed to work.

Handmade in the UK.

At a glance:

  • Made with cotton and stretch for comfort
  • Classic upright neckline
  • Front fastening studs
  • Princess seam line
  • Double stitching on collar and sleeve cuff
  • Cut for women, tailored to fit
  • Made in Great Yarmouth, designed in Wales

Using classic tailoring techniques, this is our feminine take on the traditional chef jacket - smart, fitted and comfortable.

The biggest accolade came during the photo shoot when our chefs didn’t want to take them off.

In designing our women's chef jacket, we’ve paid homage to the classic chef jacket with an upright, Mandarin neckline. Form is added with Princess seams and beautiful double stitching running along both collar and sleeve cuff.

Smart metal front fastening studs have been selected for comfort and practicality. If you spill hot liquids on yourself and need to disrobe in a hurry, the stud fasteners will make the difference. The women's chef jacket is super breathable and made from natural cotton with a little stretch for movement.

“So pleased that you are creating lovely chef clothes for women.” - Naomi Devlin, River Cottage chef & tutor

Sometimes when you have a huge catering job or teaching a course that you are passionate about it can get scary! Doing up my Bird Chefs jacket and then layering it with my customized Robyn apron is my moment of calm that gets me into the zone. It feels like I am donning my superhero suit and that from this moment on I can cope with anything. It is also immensely comfortable and accommodates my rather large boobs…

Great chefs wear, only jacket that I can find that is actually flattering and fits well, such amazing quality and lovely fabric. Love this brand.

Here at Bird we care for the environment and encourage you to too

Our aprons and the environment are happier when they're washed on a cool wash

We recommend hanging our aprons on the line, rather than tumble drying
