Needlecord Winter Wren Dungarees

NEEDLECORD WINTER WREN DUNGAREES OPEN FOR PREORDER NOVEMBER 1st

Just 12 pairs of Wren dungarees will be made - will one of them be yours? Sign up to Birdfeed newsletter for updates or email me directly to register your interest.

I chose 11 Wale needlecord for your winter Wren dungarees as it's supple, velvety and durable.

The Wren dungarees have deep pockets for hands and phones, a tailored bib for our feminine form and adjustable neck strap for comfort.

Those beautiful buttons? They’re crafted from spent mussel shells.

The back strap loop? Elasticated so you can squat, bend and move with ease.

The iconic red Bird label? Yup, it's there.

And plenty of well thought out pockets, just as you asked.

“The lack of buckles is refreshing because they can often feel too clunky and even dig in at your shoulders. I love the pockets on the back, which is very Carpenter style and always flattering for a ladies bum.”    Michelle Lee, York

The Wren dungarees are made in Plymouth by Makers HQ, a social enterprise housed in the former Jaeger factory.

See our Makers Page for more details.

Needlecord Care Guide

Wash your needlecord inside out and with buttons closed on 30 degrees or a cool setting. Try not to overload your machine to avoid friction. Abrasion to the surface of needlecord can damage the pile and alter the texture.

Shake out after washing, smooth down the seams and pockets and hang to air dry. This will avoid the need to iron your Wrens.

Sizing Guide

Small UK 6-8 / Medium UK 10-12 / Large UK 14-16 / Larger UK 18

You'll find the garment measurements here.

These are the dimensions for the dungarees themselves, rather than the body that they're designed to fit. A good idea is to compare the measurements to a similar, favourite garment for a real life comparison.

For reference, I'm a UK size 10, wearing the needlecord  Wrens in size Small and they’re a really good fit. Drop me a line if you could do extra advice on sizing.

Here at Bird we care for the environment and encourage you to too

Our aprons and the environment are happier when they're washed on a cool wash

We recommend hanging our aprons on the line, rather than tumble drying
