#BirdCooks: Time for you with Tonic Smoothies

Taking time out to look after your well being is more important than ever, especially if you're taking the strain and looking after loved ones. 

Make these plant based tonics your new morning-go to and nourish yourself from inside out.

Heady Ginger Zinger

Using a juicer, combine 1/4 small red cabbage, 1/2 cucumber, a thumb of ginger, 1/4 of lemon and an apple. Enjoy straight away.

Deep Cleanse

With your juicer, combine half a celery head, leaves and all with an apple and sprigs of mint.

Super Spiced Banana Smoothie

Juice 2-3 peeled carrots. 

Using a Nutri-Bullet, combine the carrot juice with a banana, (frozen is good), coconut milk to loosen, (around a cup), good pinch of tumeric, a thumb of fresh ginger, 1/2 tsp of cinnamon, a pinch of ground black pepper, of ground nutmeg, of ground clove and of cardamom. Adust spicing to your taste - you may find you enjoy heavier doses as you go.
